# Connect your wallet

> Link your crypto wallet to Faction Trade to start trading on Hyperliquid.

Faction Trade uses [Privy](https://privy.io) for wallet authentication. You can connect with any major Ethereum-compatible wallet.

<Note>
  Faction Trade runs on **Hyperliquid**. You need a wallet with funds deposited on Hyperliquid L1 to trade. If you have not bridged funds yet, you can do so from the app after connecting.

## Supported wallets

* MetaMask
* Coinbase Wallet
* WalletConnect-compatible wallets
* Privy embedded wallet (email login)

## How to connect

  <Step title="Open the app">
    Navigate to the Faction Trade app in your browser.

  <Step title="Click Connect Wallet">
    The button is in the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose your wallet provider">
    A Privy modal will appear. Select your preferred wallet or sign in with email.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Approve the connection">
    Confirm the connection request in your wallet extension or app.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Continue to onboarding">
    Once connected, you will be directed to the account setup flow to choose a username and avatar.
  </Step>

## Troubleshooting

    Make sure your browser wallet extension is installed and unlocked. Try refreshing the page. If using a mobile wallet, ensure WalletConnect is supported.

    Disable any active VPN and try again. If the issue persists, try a different browser (Chrome or Brave recommended).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I use multiple wallets?">
    Each Faction Trade account is linked to one wallet address. To use a different wallet, you would need to create a separate account.
